According to Imperial records, Hurricane Defense Batteries appeared shortly after the mass adoption of the imposing Invictus Storms. This tactical response was an imperative necessity in the face of the enemy’s relentless perseverance on fronts where numbers were notoriously reduced.

Their effectiveness proved striking in assaults where the enemy was outnumbered and highly concentrated. This had the additional advantage of relieving the extended areas which, due to lack of personnel, were extremely tense throughout.

Delegating sensitive areas to Hurricane Defense Batteries helped prevent surprise attacks, thus freeing troops for more critical areas. However, it is imperative to note that despite the undeniable advantages of these installations, the supply of ammunition remains their main weak point. This is why it is strongly recommended that all generals put in place a solid logistical structure behind the front in order to avoid any collapse of stocks, and by extension, of the entire front.
